O and I like to get outside on the first day of the year. Today, that took us for a Sunday drive style cruise out east of us from Lake Stevens to Granite Falls. We checked out Flowing Lake County Park, drove by Lake Roesiger, and eventually to Lime Kiln Trailhead, where we enjoyed the company of a “lost” dog.

P.S. We did our best through reaching out to the Everett Animal Shelter and a park neighbor to determine which house the dog may live at normally. What’s sad is that he was hanging out on the trail or at the trail parking lot for hours.
