A new perpective on dinner
I am beginning to believe that I can actually cook. Well, sort of. At least I’m interested in cooking these days. My husband often checks my temperature to make sure I’m feeling okay. I am. All I can say is that I like good food and since our kitchen remodel in 2008, I’ve been more active in the kitchen. I like to try new things so when I saw a recipe for Scallop Gumbo in the NY Times, I had to try it.

Scallop Gumbo

Our recommendation is to sear the scallops for just a moment and then cut them into quarters before adding them to the gumbo. I also substituted red peppers for the green peppers called for in the recipe. Not so much a fan of green.
