Bison Goodness
Tuesday, August 3rd, 2010Each time we have our annual Cool Works meetup, there is always at least one day dedicated to being in Yellowstone National Park. I love my day job.
This year Bill, Eric and I drove through the top two quadrants of Yellowstone, through Cooke City, and up the Beartooth Highway. Before leaving the park at the Northeast Entrance, we became surrounded by a huge herd of bison. Luckily those waiting were in good spirits so it ended just being a very cool experience.
Here are some photos from our unplanned delay / happy distraction. Good stuff.

Bill’s appropriate nickname for the bison - Woolly Boogers

We’re lucky they’re around today thanks to a few concerned citizens around the turn of the 20th century. More information about bison can be found on the NPS website.
